Joined: 06/01/2010(UTC) Posts: 260		There are differences: Koll says: The train set 2857 is from 1984, the locomotive is weathered and has a running number 1205, the middle counterweight on the wheels can be larger. The locomotive 3312 is from 1985, it is not weathered and has the running number 1206 I have both, no issues. I got both models in their original configuration.

Joined: 14/03/2005(UTC) Posts: 15,839 Location: Gibraltar, Europe		There is another difference, perhaps not obvious in the photos. The loco from the set (1205), has a green boiler and domes, and only the smokebox is black. The other loco (1206) has an all black boiler with gold bands.
		Ray Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.
