Good Day Marklin Fans

I recently purchased a marklin 3030 green model from the 1970's era
They don't seem to be as popular as the brown 3030
I have looked in several Koll's catalogs, but don't seem to find it listed
Can anyone throw some light on where this loco originated from
It does'nt appear to have been repainted but original factory painting

Thanks for the help
Allen

Should be a 3019 (a rare loco) or a 31100. Those are the two green ones

I don't think the 3030 was ever produced in green. The 3019 was produced in this color. Repainted 3030 models come on the market from time to time. There is one on Ebay Germany at the moment:https://www.ebay.de/itm/Maerklin-H0-3030-E-Lok-BR-Da-884-SJ-gruen-umlakiertes-Handarbeitsmodell-gealtert-/123437723059?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10.

So you have bought either a repainted 3030 or a 3019...

But i could be wrong...

Do you have pictures?

Allen, there is a model 3019 for sale on ebay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/S70-Mark...0AAOSwyulbz1mi:rk:2:pf:0

the green model was produced in 1957 and a variation was produced from 1958-1961

The prototype (swedish Da) was brown, but Märklin produced a green version mainly for german customers. Since all german E-locos were green they supposed customers wanted the same colour for foreign locos...

But if model and prototype dont match, there is online one think to do. A few years ago Märklin bought a 1:1 Da loco and painted it green, even added a screw that was very annoying on the 1:87 model and even more so in the 87:1 model.
