7390 Mechanical Railway Crossing
The operation of barriers (Schranken) depends on wagon weight (pressure) on tracks.
Barriers (Schranken) sometimes show jerky movements or do not close completely.
Is it possible to fix it somehow ?
Thank you

Have you tried a small drop of oil on all the linkages (and the arms where they pivot)? That might help.

Cheers

I have 4 of those crossings in various state of conservation. They are not precision engineering, the rails that go up and down under pressure can have a lot of side movement and can get easily caught into something depending on the condition of the crossing, so aside from a bit of oil here and there and the obvious check that no bits of dirt are present, I would also check a couple of things:

a) check the crossing isn't bent, put the unit on a level surface and check all sides are in contact with the surface, if not then you need to bend the unit back in shape (gently!) and get it as straight as possible.
b) check that the small pieces of rail used to connect the unit to the rest of the track are in good shape and aligned with the pressure rails. This can be tricky to adjust.
c) these crossings don't like uneven surfaces, they need to be level to work properly. If you are operating them in a "Teppichbahn" or on an uneven surface, put something flat underneath (a piece of thin flat cardboard for example) to compensate.
