Hello All

Please can any body tell me if I can use the new s88 as a straight replacement for the old one or do I have to do some extra wire etc. I am running a CS 2 60215.

The CS2 has a flat 6 pin connector for S88s.

- normally , for a S88 (6088,60880) a flat ribbon cable (e.g. 6089) would plug between the two

- for 60881(S88-AC) and 60882(S88-DC) an adapter cable (60884) is needed to convert from the 6-pin of the CS2 to the RJ45 connector of the newer S88.
Noting that you may intermix the two types of S88 module in the same chain as long as
- all the flat connector S88s (6088/60880) are first,
- then the 60884 adapter cable
- then the newer S88s (60881/60882)

The alternate solution is to invest in a 60883 (S88Link aka L88) which plugs into the CS2s (7-pin) booster port or a spare Terminal (60125/60145) port.
As well as providing a base 16 sensor ports, the L88 has sockets for both old and new connector types HOWEVER it does require its own power supply (6636x)

60884
