Just talking with some 2 rail modelers about Pico code 100, code 83 track and I was wondering what code would Marklin C track be close to?

Hi!

Märklin C Track is close to code 90, assuming the rails are exactly 2.3 mm high.
Code 90 and 3/32" are the figures given in the catalogue - besides 2.3 mm, of course.

For Trix C Track they write it were code 83. If the height is 2.1 mm then that would make it code 82.
Regards
Tom

Tom is correct about the code numbers for C track.
I Believe that code 100 is actually 100/1000 of an inch, code 83 is 83/1000 of an inch. I have measured C track and it is indeed 90/1000 of an inch.
This is a very old imperial form of measure used in mechanical engineering.

Kimball
HO Scale - Märklin (ep II-III and VI, C Track, digital) - 2 rail HO (Queensland Australia, UK, USA) - 3 rail OO (English Hornby Dublo) - old clockwork O gauge - Live Steam 90mm (3.1/2 inch) gauge.
