Hi all.

On September 15th 2018, the Danish Railway Museum in Odense presented to the public the newly built replica of Denmark's first locomotive ODIN from 1846.
The project has been underway since 2004, and I remember the beginning when I was a volunteer at the museum workshops in Roskilde.
The original locomotive was scrapped in 1876, all drawings were lost in a fire and there are no pictures of the locomotive in its original condition. However, it is more or less a standard type locomotive from Sharp Brothers & co. in Manchester, so new drawings were made with the help of British experts and various historians. The entire locomotive is scratch built from the bottom up, based on those drawings.
