Creating this so as to avoid populating last years thread with this years plans from everyone

Eurospoor 2018 - Who's in? Who's interested?

I know of a few others from my personal circles, I am going to be there Friday (9th) and Sunday (11th), anyone else thinking of heading over for it, whether by plane, train or car (or for some lucky ones - catching a bus or walking!)?

I'll be there, as usual, this time with my son and also "mrmarklin&son".

In my experience, more Märklin (both new and used) changes hands at Eurospoor than at any other event of the year.

It's arguably the biggest train show of the year in Europe, and the only down-side is that the major manufacturers are not there.

But this year, only four days after the end of the Eurospoor weekend, is the Cologne Messe, when all the manufacturers will be there. And it's an easy journey by train or by road from Utrecht to Köln.

Too good to miss!!!

As Nigel has pointed out, the Cologne train show follows on closely to Eurospoor.

This is a unique opportunity for those of us who have a little more time to spend. Back to back weekends!Drool

Very tempting , I have been dropping hints for a while but not getting the right response especially when SHMBO decided to book us on a cruise to Iceland at the beginning of August which we have just returned from , 2 weeks prior to this cruise we had just returned from s 4x4 wd trip around the top eastern part of OZ which cost more than she had accounted for especially the fuel bill . Looks like I will have to put it off till next year or even the next one & arrange a trip to include Eurospoor , Cologne & Goppingen .

Enjoy yourselves & spend up big to help the world economy ,

Cheers Tom in Oz .

With some luck I will be travelling on business in November and will be close enough to Utrecht to visit Eurospoor 2018. Never having been before, does anyone have any tips on bargaining with the dealers there and just taking in the whole show in one day?

I’ve a nice collection of photos of some of the layouts, and several of my entourage have as well. Since we’re still traveling and I won’t be home until Saturday, I know my group won’t have anything up until likely next week
