Hi I recently purchased a Brawa Titlis Bahn funicular and have a couple of questions. I can get it to run but the cabs that are supposed to be lit are not lit. anyone who has a Titlis Bahn or might know why is that. Secondly where can I find replacement cable and wire for it.
Thanks for any help,
marklin279

Did you try Brawa, they seem to have good stocks of some spares.

I needed an item a while ago and wrote them an email and had a prompt response, good service
Don't look back, your not heading that way.

Hi
The cabins are supported by a support wire (black nylon wire) and they are moved by a traction wire. The traction wire brings a polarity to the cabins to light them and to rotate the inside of the cabin.

If they are not lit check the following:
- the traction cable is the original Brawa one and should be the current conducting
- the two half loops of traction wire are insulated from each other and the extremities are not connecting with the other half. Brawa recommends the use of adhesive tape.
- normally the two half loops are connected to the incoming 16 VAC so as to bring power to the gondolas
- the cable between the mountain station and the valley station must be connected
I hope this helps

Cheers

Jean

I have it.
Not only are they lit, they are also rotating.
The valley- and the top-station must be connected. (For the valley-station it is just a single electrical wire that must be connected, going to the top-station). I think the plastic-isolation of that particular cable is black. If that cable is not connected, the thing will still work, but without light and rotation.
