The 7286 turntable is dead with 7687 decoder.

I removed from the layout and testing the turntable but still dead.

I suspend operation running trains layout without TT.Crying

....mine's dead too! Cursing
Same day as yours?

Will have to investigate. It's fitted with a Littfinski decoder.
My suspicion at this point is that the problem is in the TT electro-mechanics, not the decoder.

Maybe some one has some expertise trouble shooting these?
Schematics anyone?

Here is a German description of a conversion of the 7286 TT from Maerklin 3-rail to Fleischmann 2-rail standard. There are many diagrams (and some photographs) of the "Maerklin status" before conversion which might help?

Hi Steven

Have you tried to use your TT with the manual control?
I suspect you need to open your TT , remove the bridge and inspect it;
- good contact with rotary contacts
- possible cable break under the TT pitt
- possible burning of one of the 3 diodes to activate the solenoid

A simplified schema is here Schema

It is simple to test both the motor and the solenoid by using a DC transformer with a low voltage 5 to 10 V Of course the decoder is disconnected

I hope this helps
Cheers
Jean
