Dear friends, i'm looking for tips for reactivating some old M contact rails. I've treated them with Ferox but they'ren't still working and cleaned the rust with the Dremel. Thanks in advance for any help Best regards Stefano

Hi Stefano, Usually these rails don't pose problems. I suggest: - to check the continuity between the insulated rail section and the female plug, - to restore the rails surface using 1000 grain abrasive paper (for bodywork) and finish with wood (yes!!) to have a nice clean surface without grooves Here is my older M rail layout Cheers Jean |

Cheers Jean Thank you so much...I'll try that the soonest! I suppose that the troubles are because the rails have a lot of rust. That is why I used the Ferox! Thank for sharing the picture. Yours is a great layout Best regards

Well, I'm pleased to let you know that the troubles are solved now with abrasive paper and the rails seem working fine! Thank you so much, Jean. Best regards Stefano
