Hi, I have some nice photo books with small captions in Walloons and French from The Nicolas Collection. These show many pictures on Belgium. And French trains(mostly in Northern France) they also show a variety of locos hauled these PBA inox coach sets. These are DB 184 (Marklin 37312) SNCB series 55 (Marklin 3467) and anther older Marklin often used through to Paris in the 1970s is (Marklin 3152) an SNCB multi voltage loco.
There is also the Marklin SNCB version of the French 40100, the series 18 SNCB loco. These were not four voltage like there French locos, but three. Marklin 39408?
locos at the Dutch border were also changed for NS motive power (Marklin 37121) All as you see are Marklin. Other makes have made series 15 sncb locos and series 51 diesels which were also used. But as you see, there’s plenty to chose from which will look good with your coaches. But of course, it’s your stuff, and your miniature world:-)👍enjoy

Sounds like a planBigGrin love these engines as well👍
I took this picture at Hertogenbosch. It was our train engine to the German border at Emmerich on an autoslaaptrein to Slovenia. They are truly impressive locos. The Marklin 1200 is well worth having 👍

Try this shop. I get most of my Marklin from Jaap, who speaks perfect English. Hi very helpful and all his stuff comes with a guarantee and is tested before leaving his shop?
I think these locos have in recent years have had a retooled chassis’s with a central motor and flywheel.
I have two pictures I took on my Instagram page

Hi,I will have a look in my book on my SNCB 55 diesels. When I get back home tonight. I think the class in that livery had all been moved to other routes in Belgium by the time it was given that paint job. But it might have been used still on occasions were there had been a loco failure, or good old fashioned modellers license, which is often used on my layout😁👍 and of course on yours as well. The Marklin series 55 are good reliable models👍

Hi, I had a look in my book. No luck with the picture of one of these livery’s. that’s not to say it never happened?
I do have a picture from the book of a special some years ago of a pba consist plus a 40100 and a series 55 diesel in green. It was a special rail fan train?
