Hi all,
I stumbled upon this last night. It always makes me sad to see these magnificent machines waiting to be melted down so they can be recycled into some crappy cars, toasters, washing machines etc. To me they are more than just machines. They have a soul. It's a shame they can't speak so they can defend themselves. I think of all the time and hard work that went into building, maintaining, and operating them.

I love the smell of smoke fluid in the morning .

Hi Mike,

That's not a line of locos waiting to be scrapped! It's part of the collection of a certain Mr. Falz, who saved them from scrap during the time of the DDR. You can find more info by googling "Loksammlung Falz."
