Looking for a book on German Railroads (hopefully in English) from 1900's to the beginning of WW2. Basically eras I and II.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

It depends on what information you are looking for. If you are looking for consisting, then you can try to find the Miba Zugbildung booklets. The Michael Meinhold booklets 2 and 3 pertain to Era II.
I found a book on Amazon called Reichsbahn Album by Gottwald that claims to have 500 photos from 1920-1940. You can search for more yourself.

There are a lot of railway book sellers in Germany. Search for "Eisenbahnbuecher" on Google

Maybe one of our German fans can provide some additional titles. My expertise is Swiss trains from 1965 to today.

Regards

Thanks Mike for the recommendations. ThumpUp

I was lucky to find both books. The Reichsbahn Album by Gottwald I found used but in excellent shape on Amazon for about $14 shipped from a US book dealer. It arrived today and is rather nice. It has a minimum amount of description in German, but the photos for the most part speak for themselves. It covers steam and electric locomotives, as well as freight cars with lesser amounts of passenger service.

The Miba Zugbildung No. 3 by Michael Meinhold i was able to locate on German Ebay. I'm awaiting its arrival an will report back at that time.
