Hi everyone The tests of my layout, in its current design, are positive. Everything works. There will always be little problems like the last two days. It's inevitable with me. My legendary distraction. As I am happy with the wheel detection tests, I decided to send the 24x94 reeds to garages. I'm going to use the feedback by wheels detection. So quietly I started to uninstall... until the moment when .....a flash... a big thought: the power supply. If I look at the diagram of 24995, I realize that red wire and brown wire connections will be needed for all blocks divided by rails for feedback. At first glance I think I will need a current supply between 2 detection fields, at least one current supply per block (20 blocks - see TCO of Itrain) Before I start, I would like to know if my thoughts on this are correct. It's kind of like I'm starting a new electrical installation again Thank you for your reply Thewolf |

Serge,
Your current wiring should be adequate. With the detection blocks you are only isolating one ground rail - you only need connection to your S88 module from this rail. Your other ground rail (0, brown wire) is still continuous throughout the layout as are the centre studs (B, red wire). I'm sure you have track feeds every few metres connected to a bus from your controller.
If you have grounding issues with small locomotives you may need to install the diode modification on the isolated ground rail which has been suggested in another thread.
Good luck with the modifications,
Harold.
