I enjoyed watching the videos submitted by others. Here is my model. I call it my Rainy Day Railroad as it is the center of my focus when I can’t be outside. This is an HO scale on a 5’x9’ table. It is now running via TrainController GOLD ver. 9.

Thought it was well done except for the horrid background music, I found you speak so soft I had to turn the volume up then rush to reset it when the background music came on, why ppl think they need music in all videos escapes me when the trains had sound which became overpowered?

A great visual accomplishment with good lighting and scenery for a
layout of its size I'd love to see the track plan of the whole layout
Bravo

Hi, RDS:

I am unable to have the clip start. The site shows a lock that is closed.

Is there a password needed to see the video?

Thanks.

Most of the scenery came from Woodland Scenics. I also use much of their lighting solutions.

Nicely done Russ!

I like the way the video tells a story, and your narration definitely helps us to follow the action. The video editing is excellent and the train action is captured well, with nice slow movement of the trains most of the time. I'm not keen on the background music though; I find it intrusive and does not really add any value to the video.

Your layout as a whole is very nice! I like the way you've balanced the railway with town and country scenery. Too often layouts are a jumble of track and the trains seem to have no purpose other than running round at high speed, but your trains come and go for a reason and you have shown it well in the video.

If I can make a constructive comment, I think you could improve the look of the track by using ballast to conceal the gaps between the track and the ground cover. In my view the gaps spoil the illusion of reality somewhat.

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Railroad is American dialect, John. I prefer the English "railway" but Americans say railroad. Cheers, Peter. BigGrin
