Hopefully, Märklin will issue one MFX retooled version with interior details in the cabin, instead of all those hideous cables. The same goes for the "Bavarian Crocodile" and the "German Crocodile" E-94.
Greetings,
Armando

I would like to see this baby with New Csine/MFX/Moving Pantographs / telex couplers at both ends, and in the "Snowy" version no less. Or It could also have a platinum body.

Congratualtions Nikos. This is rapidly becoming a rare item I think.

Enjoy the wonderful model with its beautiful "old" C-sine motor.

It wouldn't surprise me if the new Krokodil is fitted with a "next generation C-sine"
propulsion.

Kind regards

Hey Nikos, looks like someone in Marklin land heard you. Check out the 29680 'Gotthard' Digital Mega 2 Train Starter Set on Plavnostruev's shop web site (http://www.euromodeltrains.com) Here's the description of the set:

"Highlights

* Top of the line complete digital railroad with two MFX trains with sound and a Central Station
* 11.4 meters/37.5 feet C Track layout with 2 high speed turnouts equipped with electric mechanism and digital decoders

Prototype
Swiss Federal Railways freight train and passenger train. Class Ce 6/8 III "Crocodile" electric locomotive. Class Ae 6/6 'Luzern' electric locomotive. Used on Gotthard route around 1950's.

Model Both locomotives have MFX digital decoders with sound and controlled C-Sine propulsion system."

Maybe Marklin will also produce separate catalog items for each of these locos - here's hoping.

From Charlie's web site (www.ajckids.com) - "Model: Both locomotives have MFX digital decoders, controlled C-sine high efficiency propulsion systems (c 90 for the Luzern, compact design C-sine for the Crocodile), and a sound effects generator. Only 5000 sets will be produced."

Sorry to hear, Nikos, that your new Kroc is a non-goer. Hope this gets resolved quickly. I'm thinking of maybe picking up something like a 3356 Kroc and doing a digital conversion with MFX Loksound, etc. This will then go with my 39560 (which is working fine).

Hope the BR288 works OK when you get it. How's that Big Boy of yours?

Just by chance I was browsing the website of TrainTrader in Sydney, and found they have one of these weathered Krocs in stock, although at $AUS1350. I visited this store last year, and found they have lots of stock, but at rather expensive prices, compared to what you can find on eBay.

Check out their website at http://www.traintrader.com.au and their Marklin stock list at http://www.traintrader.c...s/stocklists/marklin.pdf
