I have been very fortunate to get a GS800 loco but am having a hard time figuring out the correct way to reassemble the body to the frame after I oiled it. It seems impossible to put the body on while correctly aligning the three light bulb leads on each end. It looks like they all need to be depressed to fit the body back on but there is no room between the two to do it. I amsure there is a correct way to re assemble but as of yet I am unable to figure it out and am asking for some assistance on this fine loco.

I am also having a problm with it hesitating as it runs it will run fast, then hesitate, then take off again. I do not have this problem with any other locos so do not believe it is the track?

I appreciate any ideas.

Had the same issue with my 3015, after removing the body to oil and clean I could not get a good contact with three light bulbs so the loco would not run correctly and after literally the 10th time trying, it ran fine.
I am also curious to know if I could have done something different. I also changed to bulbs thinking they were the culprit but they were not.

Hi Jeff,

Did you remove the bulbs? The body goes off with the bulbs, but not back.

The behavoir can be a too loose (or missing) spring at the relay.

Regards

Markus

yes markus! As usual you've got it right!

It's a general rule for all the loks with the 60000 bulbs: remove the lamps before disassembling the lok.
They go back on last after all the rest is already back together.
