Hello:

Anybody knows who can be the manufacturer of this 00 track?

The track seems a Marklin 0 track but in 00 size.

These tracks come to me in a very old lot of Marklin I bought.

Hi

The tracks are Schicht, from early DDR production.

Hi,

I don't know where they come from. But I'm sorry, I don't agree with SCHICHT. SCHICHT made rails which look very similar, but the sleepers I know had another shape.
What is the material of the sleepers of the unknown rails?

Regards

Markus

Hi Markus,

I just noticed that. So after looking again I think they may be Conti: http://www.clamfer.it/03...via/Ferrovia%20Conti.htm

Hi Peter,

CONTI has similar rails, but CONTI had a wire-hook connection for the third rail to allow a free use of the rails. The rails above have male- and female connectors at the third rail. What's about INVICTA?

Hi Markus,

I don't agree with Invicta - although they made 3 rail tracks I think they had a solid black base. This catalog here shows what I mean: https://www.todocoleccio...os-adicionales~x35996455

I assume Smurfillo's tracks have metal sleepers, since there are card isolation tabs under the centre rail. The rail connectors on the outer rails look very similar to Conti, as does the profile of the sleepers. But Conti sleepers are much closer together and as you say, the centre rail connection is different. However, if you look closely at these, I think the fishplates on the centre rail are different to those on the outer rails. Have they been replaced at some time? A picture from the end of the track may help determine this.

Hello:

The track have metal sleepers, all tracks (8) are in excellent state, and it does not appear that the third rail has been replaced.

Regards.

The track is very similar to Marklin's scale 0

https://www.todocoleccio...-40-12-metros~x101159003

Could be Marklin have made a few lots of 00 tracks similar to scale 0 before made the first M 00 track?

Regards

Hi Javier,

That's very unlikely.
I estimate that more than 50, probably 100 companies in Europe made (or tried to produce) 00 trains and tracks between 1945 and 1955. Many of them are only known to specialists today. I'm sure, sooner or later we will find out where these tracks come from.

Markus

The spanish company Manamo made direct copies of Marklin's O gauge Modellschienen during the 50s. Paya also had O gauge track with a similar sleeper design.
