Where did it happen? Is already anything known about the reason of the crash?

The Swedish Accident Investigation Authority (Statens haverikommission) has investigated but not reported yet. It happened at the south part of the small Ludvika switchyard. Probably, a broken wheel or a turnout was the reason. Strange is that there was another remarkable accident this summer, at the north end of the switchyard, when the construction works of a new bridge collapsed during casting. Here, approx. 10 workers were injured, but again, no deaths...

So the big message here is that if you plan to travel to Ludvika, then it might be wise to fly there. Crying

Ludvika is the town where I grew up. Spend the first 18 years there. My parents still live there. But I guess your right, have to consider taking the car next time :)
