Today I was in Oswego, Illinois where I was invited by my bartender to visit a club that has working engines that one can ride on. C&NW RR stands for Cheap and Nothing Wasted Railroad. The track gauge is 7 1/2" and the scale is 1 1/2". There was only one diesel, all the steam engines were coal fired except for two that were fired with propane. Enjoy the pics Fred.

Thanks for sharing the photos.
The locomotives that run on 7"+ behave like the real thing.
I drove one about 25 years ago.
Small changes to the steam input valve setting made a huge difference to the behaviour.

I noticed nothing similar on the smaller 3.5" gauge locomotive.
Why are my posts now showing double spacing?

regards
Kimball

Alas.. You get you Avatar back, but now you must have the double space bug. No software is perfect, so you just get the version with the bugs that are the least intrusive or upsetting.. LOL
