Hello,

I recently bought the 120200 Faller Platform with Drive Kit. It comes with an electric motor to move the passengers around the platform. I tried to test the motor ( rated 12-16 volt 60mA AC), but can't get it to run off my 60101 power supply. Does anyone know what type of power supply I need, or do I need to buy the expensive Faller one which I'd prefer not to do as it costs more than this kit and I don't intend on buying any more of their drive kits.

Regards

Paul

I suspect that power supply is DC (without looking it up). To drive the platform and any other accessories that require AC I would suggest getting an old Marklin transformer from the analogue days, and using the brown to yellow power connection to power them. One of the old blue plastic case ones would be ideal.

Other items that could require the same power supply would be a Faller mill with water wheel that has a pump for real water that requires 16V AC and there are some other Faller models that use a motor similar to the one you have. I seem to recall some Faller windmills that had AC only motors.
