Hi Marklin collectors,

I came across this lot from an upcoming Dorotheum auction. I've included an image here and there are more images if you click on the image link below.

The description mentions something about 1946 (lid image) however I believe this locomotive is pre-war possibly 1938/39? Unfortunately there is no picture of the box...

Best,

Paul

The couplings are of type 3 Koll's (1938). There was an early restoration with new bissels, the chassis is deformed by the zinkpest. The chassis is not found at Ritter's, the former owner has undoubtedly abandoned.

Definitely pre-war production.
Ritter AFAIK has the parts for chassis, wheels, etc.
Body and external chassis looks OK.
The little cars are a nice bunch in *very nice* condition apparently.
If price doesn't run up crazy, looks like an opportunity!

Thanks for the comments from my friends in France.

I have seen replica HS 800 chassises, perhaps from Ritter in their inventory. Here is one on their website:

No, sorry, it is a HS 700.
The spare parts may be founded by TTN Internetshop for only € 688 + enventualy rocker for brushes + wheels.

Thanks for the link, yes those replica parts appear to be very high quality but also expensive.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between HS 800 and HS 700. I looked again at the photos and I think it's a first version HS 800. The brushes are more toward the right side whereas with an HS 700 the brushes are smaller and closer to the center of the locomotive.
