Hi!

Within one or two months now (depending on where you live) it´s time to start harvest the Pine trees you need for your layout.
Here´s how:

yes this is the way to go, much cheaper and more rewarding, I've been using small Australian plants for years and shaped them to the right tree type, an other good product is moss, it stays green for about 6 month than goes into brown colour, all one has to do is mix some water + wood glue (2-1) and green colouring into a spray bottle and your shrubs, undergrowth, grass fields are green for life time and it keeps its structure and form.

I have occasionally wondered if anyone has tried to integrate a bonsai tree into a layout. Obviously you couldn't make a forest, but perhaps a suitable single specimen set in a village square or a similar location might be a possibility.

Hi Martin, right at the very end of your tutorial clip there is a glimpse of what appears to be a Boliden container car, possibly for ore concentrate or a similar material. Is this a model that is, or has been, commercially available, and if so, who made it.
Thanks
Jabez

Jabez,
The Boliden car is probably from Marklin set 46622. There is a Boliden tank car as well “Sondermodell” 4440 87729.
OneGauge Marklin and MTH, ESU ECoS 2.1 on LGB tracks. MTH 3-rail 0-gauge, DCS on GarGraves tracks. Z: Rokuhan tracks, analog or DCC+TC Gold.
