Any reader of the magazine can cast their vote, even those who haven't seen any of the items in real life. By casting your vote you get a chance to win one of many prices. Readers can only vote for pre-selected new items of that year. Märklin have many fans and so usually Märklin will get some awards in magazine competitions like that. 19 categories, and Märklin won in 3 categories. What a domination.
