Hey back to topic real quick! ModellbahnEcke says they will be having the new items slideshow on the 25th of January as per their website. Anyone know where we can find out the new models sooner? Or at least photos/ info for us in the USA who won't have a physical copy of the new items catalogue till March?

What's happening out there???? No leaks, rumours or a hint of what the
new items are. Marklin must have tightened up their security to make
us wait soooooo long. Seems like even on the german forums there is no
real info.

Not a Märklin Neuheit, but for Märklin.

Brekina has just released motorized digital AC versions of the Schi-Str-Bus which was designed to provide service over roads and on tracks in rural areas. More information can be found at http://www.modelglobe.de/Online...&Artikelnummer=23900 with an image from the site below.

UserPostedImage

I have the unmotorized version that came out a few years ago and love the way it looks. This could be my major purchase for the year. I will admit the slider kind of disturbs the picture, but there may be ways to upgrade that later.

Images of the real thing can be found online at:

Check it out.

Wow... If these "possible new items" turn out to be new items I'm gonna have another expensive year. But I have some doubts because of the numbering. A P8 (37031) and a T 3 (37141) are interesting. Not to mention 36871 Tenderlok Länderbahn, whatever that might be. (Ep I anyway... Smile The related article references 3387 and 33681 are Glastkasten, but I can't imagine having another Ep I Glastkasten since the Walhalla set last year and the 36861 a few years earlier. It could be a new model. The 37031 reference is a little strange since Märklin released a Sonderedition with that number last year.

The numbering of the other possible new items are making sense if compared to other versions of these models and their references.

I'm getting more curious every day, within 10 days the Neuheitenschau will be available at some dealers and on internet I guess...

That looks like a pretty big leak to me! I may need to brace my wallet looking at all those "SBB" logos in the descriptions. Hopefully at least one of them (obviously the Hobby lok and the 842 aren't but maybe the RE 4/4?) is a new tooling!

The same locs that sparked Sander's curiousity has peaked my interest as well. Looks like my wish list is going to get longer again this year, if this leak is correct.

Jubiiiiii - another danish Nohab - I wish that it has new tooling, MFX and sound biggrin

I'm really looking forward to a Märklin MY with all the good stuff. Heljan has a lot of MY's (and even Roco had a few), but for the Heljan ones fitting sound is said to be very difficult, so I have not tried this myself.

I wonder about the number "MY 1100" though. I seem to recall that this running number does not exist as a prototype?

36857 Elektrolokomotive Serie 482 SBB rented to the RAG=> 36851 with RAG-Logo instead of SBB-Cargo (Epoche V)
36858 Elektrolokomotive BR 185 Firma Hoyer => a private railroad version of the 36850
36862 Tenderlokomotive BR 98 DB => Epoche III Glaskasten like 36861. (with blind axle)

37644 Diesellokomotive Reihe 6400 NS => mfx-Variant of the 37641 (MAK DE 1002)
37666 Diesellokomotive M 61 Ungarnische Staatsbahn => Hungarian version of the Nohab 37665
37667 Diesellokomotive MY 1100 Dänischen Staatsbahn => Danisch version of the Nohab 37668
37901 Diesellokomotive BR 290 DB => Purper red version of the 37900 (Epoche IV)
39010 Schnellzug-Dampflokomotive Baureihe 01 DB => New tooling!!! (Epoche III)
39015 Schnellzug-Dampflokomotive Baureihe 01 DB => like the 39010, only lights and smoke, no sound.
39080 Dieselschnelltriebwagen VT 08.5 der DB => New tooling/model, Insidermodel 2006 (Epoche III)
39120 Elektrolokomotive E 10.12 der DB => Neukonstruktion, Rheingold-Lokomotive (Epoche III)

39985 Schienenbus Baureihe 798 der DB => like 39980, but no sound.

I've translated some words in English and added some extra information. I guess now I've got only two new locos left on my wishlist: P8 and T3, the KLVM isn't that interesting to me. Probably another new item could be a series of Langenschwalbacher coaches in Ep. I. Märklin already produces these coaches in Ep. III version to combine with the BR 89 (T3, Ep. III) They would match perfectly with the T3 and/or P8 (depending on whether these items will be K.W.ST.E or K.P.E.V.)
I'm waiting for pictures...

Hi John,

You'll never know for sure... this list is probably far of complete. Maybe there'll be more new locos, probably U.S. And, there still is a rumour saying there will be coaches to match with the GG-1 wink

By the way: there's always hope, maybe there will be an Exclusiv U.S. model announced later this year.

Well the I will have to purchase the 37083 to continue my series. Probably one to run, and one to keep on the shelf (to go with the 37080/81/82. But so much for the exclusive nature of Insider tooling. But maybe that means we will see another Class 45 steamer which I would love to see in the future.

Is the 37031 going to have the Prussian livery - green and dark red ??? I have been waiting for that one.

I don't know what livery Ep. I it will be, but since the P8 is prototypically a Prussian loco, I'm expecting to see a Prussian livery. (Wishfull thinking. wink )

Hello John,

I am not at all surprised that Marklin has no new American Locomotive
in the new Items for 2006.
Sales of North American Locomotives and Cars from Marklin and Trix in 2005 have been to say the least very sluggish.
It seems that Dealers have a hard time making any money on the North American items from Marklin/Trix (Marklin U.S. is still trying to sell Locos and Cars from 2004/2005).
Just look at the Price of a Start-Set # 29571 the cost of this set
is less then what the Locomotive alone sells for.
As with all things, Marklin as well as the Dealers have to go with what will bring the best return on their Investment.
I myself would like to see some Canadian content in Marklins Catalog
(aside from winning the Jackpot in the Lotterie)but I probably will be waiting until I am 105.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!An RE 4/4 I! Talk about a top of my wish list locomotive! I've wanted one forever but the HAG ones are far from scale and I've been looking for a reason not to buy the Roco one! (also a good move on M*'s part as they can fo like 5 versions)

ALSO: Keep in mind export items tend to be kept under wraps for at least a week longer than most others so more may be in store for us! (not to mention the cars and accesories)

There are some good era3 items among this list. Looks like
the CS will have to wait a bit longer. Now just waiting for
the rest of the items. I see tat the new V80 is a 36 series?
Hopefully its not a hobbylok.

maybe I can tell at least something more about the new items:

The Re 4/4 will be the first series of this electric loco like the former RET 800 which was produced by Märklin in the 1950's.

http://www.bigio.net/Ele...-800.1/RET-800.1_102.htm

The swedish steam loco #37555 will be most probably another version of the prussian G8 or BR 55 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn rather than a new loco-type.

Bye

Thomas

What items for Trix will there be for this new year ?? There were several MHI items fro marklin that came out of the Trix regular line last year.

Plus I happen to like some of the The 'Themed" sets from Trix. I really liked the Vinyard collection from last year.

Cool - look at the following Denver & Rio Grande Railroad (D&RG) class PA-1 American Locomotive Company (ALCO) heavy double diesel locomotive. With two engines, MFX and sound!

Actually it is the era V MY blue "Tjeneste" locomotive (Märklin incorrectly states it as MY "DSB Gods") - see the following link

http://www.maerklin.de/p...MSITE=&wishednumber=

and the prototype is here (look at the last picture):

Looks very similar to the RTS couplers, I'm using now.

And it looks like I'm going to add another danish Nohab to my collection [:p]

Look at that beautiful BR96..... It's gonna cost a bit, won't it?

Nothing spectacular in Trix, basically the same as the marklin assortment. Marklin is achieving some good internal costs savings from this. But I do not know if Trix sells a lot of stuff in Europe. Does anybody know ?
