Hi friends.

I have installed a ESU Lokosound XL in my old 5700, the locomotive works great.

I use this locomotive with my Mobile Station II.

I want to install a smoke generator.

Is valid a Seuthe nº 8 for this lok?

Gracias por vuestra ayuda.

Saludos desde España.

Vicente.

Hi Vicente,

Yes, No.8 is the right size and voltage. But I have seen many 5700 with charred and deformed chimneys. The plastic seems not to be heat- resistant. I would rethink the project.

Regards

Markus

I noticed over the weekend that the smoke unit filament in my 55441 BR44 glows red hot if the smoke fluid gets low (and the smoke unit doesn't hold much fluid to start with).

If the Suethe #8 is similar, it may well generate plenty of heat, as Markus suggests.
