Hi there:
I would like to adjust the sound level on my steam engine. The manual says to adjust CV 902. I typed in "50", "20", "0", but the sound level doesn't change.
what am I missing?
Thank you for your help!
Fritz

Hi, Fritz,

CV 902 does not sound like a Märklin loco (I assume Trix 22020 with a decoder by D&H).
With DCC you should be able to read and write CV 902.

Which controller do you use? How did you try to change CV 902?

Update: After a quick google search I think that some early sound locos do not support CV 902 because of a bug in the decoder firmware.
Regards
Tom

Hi Tom:
thank you for your input!
You're correct. The steam engine is a BR 01 from Trix. I use NCE and I can read CV 902 and change the value. For some reason the volume doesn't change. That's the only engine I have an issue with.
Any suggestions?
Fritz
