Hi when I bought the loco I also purchased the 72270 smoke unit for it. This morning I am trying to fit it. Usually I find the units are a snug fit but are quite easy to install. This one is different, there is a huge resistance and I am afraid to damage either the loco or the smoke unit.

Has anyone successfully installed the smoke unit and how did you do it?

Thanks in advance
Adrian

Hello Adrian,

I installed that smoke unit in my BR41 and I too thought I was going to break something forcing it in the stack. I've read that you can lightly sand around the inside of the stack but decided not to do that. I simply applied a bit more force and it slid right in. Good luck.

You can't broke nothing inside the Loco

Push more all around the smoke generator pipe.

The contact must be firm
