Hello Everybody.

I am almost ready to decide choosing Marklin 39024 to be my next acquisition. I can not find the 39023 or 39022 or 39021 older ones (that maybe are visually more appealing to me). So I have to settle to the 39024 (new).

Wondering if you have this loco and if you could share with me your opinion on its quality.

Kind Regards

... and to make my question more precise.
Marklin 39024 is a BR18.3 ex BADEN IV on DRG colors from 2015 (?) catalog. I read on Stummis (using Google translator) that somebody was complaining on a very strong "hiss" sound from the motor. He was also making comparisons to the older BADEN IV (39021, 39022) with the SDS motor (in favor of the old ones).

My question to anybody having the 39024. Is this "sound" , the electrical sound most late Marklin models (without SDS motor) do? Is it the old debate between the old and the new Marklin motor? Or 39024 has some real problem and I should avoid her.Confused Confused Confused

Any input will be much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Paris

P.S. My other option would be the 2016 Insider BR95 Marklin 39095. Confused Confused Confused

Thank you Panagioti. Hopefully I will be able to ispect 39024 before buying it. If this "buzzing" exists and it is too loud, I will examine my other options (39095).

Hello Panagioti

The problem you refer to is a "one time" problem, which happen to your friend's model. It was just bad luck. Right??? Not a design mistake Marklin made? It is not something that all 39024s have?
