Something every layout should have at least one of.

Signal Maintenance performed by Preiserlings

For now this is the only guy I could find, I gotta look for one to climb the pole.

I have a mini scene I got somewhere, i think it is a Busch one, with a couple of figures doing signal maintenance, But IIRC it is a colour light signal, as I remember it having a ladder then the safety frame around the top to stop the person falling off backwards as they worked. I recall the figures as having modern orange hi-vis one piece boiler suit type clothing.

No hi-vis outfits for my crew. I must maintain epoch correctness.LOL
I love the pic where they are boring a hole in the semaphore arm. It shows the size of these things.
I'm willing to bet half of them have a flask in the back pocket.BigGrin

Thanks so much for posting these Mikey, ThumpUp

In that cold its better to drink from the flask than sniffing the kerosene. Crying LOL

Curious to know where you found these images? Always wondering where my favorite images come from if the need would ever arise to attribute the source.

Had to place a maintenance crew immediately to a 7039 signal Laugh

without safety wire Scared

Hello Ake,
That fat guy with the oil can is Otto Piffell.
He walks around on my layout too.
He don't do nuttn' all day.Angry
They won't fire him because he has too much seniority.
I see on your crew he seems to be waiting for Gunther to come down from the signal because he has the flask.
Otto is cheap and he never buys.
Nobody likes him.BigGrin

Hi Mikey BigGrin

What about that foreman far right?
He is Manfred Hartmann. Herr Hartmann is reading Märklin Signal Manual 0340 and shouting advices to Günther as
he is new in the team. It seems that herr Piffel has allready opened his flask Laugh
