"On Sunday 3rd March 1935 - at the Leipzig Trade Fair - the world of 00 gauge model railways began.
The name chosen was Trix Express."

From the beginning in 1935 Trix Express presented a complete system, tracks, loco's, coaches, goods wagons and buildings that were made of wood.

I'm in love with this early TE building, but these were made in small series and very few survived time.
It’s virtually impossible to find a Station Trixstadt that is for sale and can shine on my layout.

So what do you do ? Well, I spent a zillion hours building a replica from scratch.

Merry Christmas to all.

Marco

The most difficult part was perhaps the printings.

But with Adobe Illustrater and Photoshop I could make exact replicas of the old advertisements on the original 20/270 station from 1935 ...

Thank you Steve !! ThumpUp ThumpUp ThumpUp
I must say that this gives 10x more satisfaction than building a station out of a Faller kit.

You can find some pics of original 20/270's here:

Hi all,

Scratch building is sometimes the only way to have a rare item.
Same thing with me when I was searching for Vollmer V550 condenser tower.

I checked many Vollmer catalogues and took measurements from the photos.
Then ordered necessary plastic cards and after some evenings I had it ready.

And of course after it was ready I found one from ebay.de LOL

Cheers
