Although your answer is correct (they are homemade pipes), it was not the answer that I was looking for. Since this is the season of giving I'll give you another chance to win the coveted "Marklin Christmas Bonus Points."

Kurt,

I think I have the answer ..

But I don't know how to write the answer in a SPOILER tab as the other people have done.
How does one do this ?
Instructions please.

(Don't want to cheat by reading other spoilers)

Hi John and Kurt

To make a spoiler, put SPOILER in square brackets, then your text, then /SPOILER in square brackets.

And now my 2nd try at guessing...

Second time's a charm Peter. Special M Christmas Bonus Points for you. My apologies for the delayed delivery of your SMCBP's. Our marketing department wasn't prepared for the overwhelming number of correct answers thus resulting in our running out of awards to send out. Our new supply just arrived and you are the first to receive them. Spend them wisely.

Merry Christmas to you.

Kurt

Harold - Congratulations. You win the SMCBP award. I was looking for the first anomaly that you mentioned. As for the second item you pointed out - "shouldn't the baggage car have been behind the locomotive?" I have the following justification. To a 5 year old "American" boy the green "baggage" car was NOT a green baggage car, but a green "Caboose". Sorry to say, but it will continue to ride in the rear as it has done for more than 50 years... old habits never die. Flapper

Dear Mr. Cookie

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced in respect to quantity of Special M Christmas Bonus Points (SMCBP's) distributed to you for your correct response in our most recent sweepstakes.

At Forum Challenge Inc., we take pride in ensuring our customer’s satisfaction. Unfortunately, we did not meet your—or our own—expectations. Upon thorough review of the situation, we narrowed the cause to key staff changes, recent internal system updates, digital vs. analog discussions, unisolated track blocks, and late train arrivals.

As a testament to our strive for perfection, we have taken steps to ensure that this will never happen again by creating company wide training sessions, installing new back-up systems, creating an internal auditing team, and reading the Marklin manual(s).

Because of this serious oversight, we are going to provide you with Triple Bonus Points.

We deeply value your relationship with Forum Challenge Inc. and are committed to providing you with the highest level of service simply because our customers deserve the very best. If you have any further questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to discuss it with us.

Yours in service,
Kurt
