don't you think you are bit mean just buying 1 model BigGrin, its not the forum its the forum members who should be banned showing us models (didn't you know we all suffer from the same disease) we always blame everybody else and without this forum you couldn't do it.

At least you don't have my local Marklin dealer. His speciality is hypnotism.. "Look at the pretty box", he says as my eyelids get heavy and my wallet floats over to his cash register... Blushing

You buy stuff you don't even want or like..........then your FD tells you to get rid of it, and then the cycle starts again.

They say that that is a definition of insanity - doing the same thing and expecting a different result!

Still, I guess Miss16 will get a good Marklin inheritance!

Reminds me of when my youngest sister turned 17. Friend of parents said 'last year it was Sweet Sixteen and never been kissed - this year its seventeen and we aren't so sure ...'

She nearly killed him (she had had a boyfriend of sorts between the two birthdays).

Quite true Fransisco, and I am extremely grateful that it is so!

The only time now when I really feel like a kid again is when I get a new train - and there is no price that I can put on that! Cool
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

I think this were females are again different, whereas they say we haven't grown up and behaving like children again, and when you get married and have children the mother (wife) loses her childhood dreams most of the time and has to start facing reality with everyday/night tasks and most the time its toys for the boys, (4wheel drive, boat, trains, fishing, golfing, racing cars, cars, caravans and other expensive items

John, you are so right.
20 years ago I packed my models, learned to fly and bought a nice aircraft, flew it around Europe for long and short holidays with many of the "let drop into France for lunch". Sold the aircraft, watched the models and now starting the planning of a 3 levels layout so I can run 4-5 visible trains and 6 invisible, all at the same time so there is lots of traffic and movement. Only one problem...I have no space for itCool

Hello HOC,

How I envy you!Drool

It takes me nearly 24 hours of flying (just there, not including return) each time I "drop into France for lunch" !!! Sad

I hope, in the day, you made the best of it !!

My wife just shakes her head and wonders (yet again) why I need another loco! She is a yoga fanatic and she has what seems like endless sets of yoga clothes.

When she asks me why I needed another train I just say, for the same reason that you needed to buy more yoga clothes.

She seems to understand then. BigGrin

I guess I'm just very lucky to have a understanding wife since I'm into N,HO,O and G-Scale. I just started with Marklin this year and N scale this year and think I got a little carried away with buying stuff. Mainly analog and M track in Marklin. Will take some pictures and try to post by the end of the week.
