Accident prevention

The ESU LokPilot V4.0 supports the indispensable wrong direction bit for operation on Märklin® layouts, preventing locos leaving an analog section and entering a digital part of the layout, from instantly reversing direction and backing out again. After an interruption, the decoder remembers its last status and starts up again, as quickly as possible.
Peace of mind

I think all fx decoders with DIP switches also have it.

And I think all mfx decoders also have this bit - at least those with a blue PCB.
And it even works in digital-digital-digital: In an mfx-MM-mfx transition if you change the direction in the MM section the wrong direction bit will be effective in the mfx section.

Tom
