I have one of the Rcoc Tank cars that is shown in the pic. One of the steps below the brakeman's car is missing.

Does anyone here have a suggestion on how to obtain this part?

Thanks, Chuck

P.S. I emailed Roco and never received a reply. Cursing

Hi
I have a couple of suggestions.
Send another e mail to Roco in Europe to ask the question again, they normally do reply.
Secondly, try some European dealers who have access to Roco online ordering system for spares, I had a problem with some small parts for a Roco Crocodile and they obtained them for me. Apitz or Lok Musuem.
Thirdly they look like a common part, firstly try the steps from a similar model you may have and then try to obtain a secondhand model to remove then from via eBay.

Good luck
Harry

I've taken you advise and sent another email to Roco.

If that fails, I'll try a Roco Parts dealer. I think that it would be easier if I knew that part number. I tried searching on the Roco website but was unable to locate a diagram for this style car.

Thanks Harry for you suggestions.

Hi
I had a quick look at a Roco tanker wagon I have and I think it looks like a common part shared over a range of Roco wagons. Another option is to look for a secondhand one at an exhibition, that maybe broken or damaged, to buy it cheap, just for the part.

Sorry I had one other idea.
If it's just a step you could try making one from the black pieces left over from model kits, then very carefully using superglue and tweezers hold it in place until fixed it place.

Well this time I did receive a reply from Roco. I think that maybe I emailed their US distributor instead of going directly to them.

I have a ticket number assigned to my request and they indicated that that will process ASAP. I have my fingers crossed. Unsure
