Hello,

I bought this lovely classic Faller B-206 kit in the 'hippie box' from the early 1970s.

The kit was in the program from 1961 till 1990 in two different color versions.
The first version with a gray roof and light blue and cream-colored walls is the most beautiful.

The ‘Werksfertigmodell’ (model build by Faller homeworkers) was in the program from 1961 to 1965.

I built the kit this morning and I'm quite pleased with the result

Marco

Nice house Marco! ThumpUp

How did you make the flowers?

Do you ever "weather" your buildings?

Thanks,
Chuck

Hello Chuck,

I never weather my Faller buildings.
I built the kits as the Faller home workers did back in the 60s. So no weathering.
They did the flowers this way too, you see flowers like this on all the 1960s factory models.

In Faller Modellbau Magazin No 1 from October 1957 is an article on how to make these flowers.
You must mix Faller Plasticol glue with green Faller litter (colored sawdust).
With this mixture you can sculpt bushes, plants, window flower boxes...etc.
When it is dry (30 minutes) you can paint flowers on it with a tiny brush (just little dots red, white, pink etc).
The Faller Plasticol tubes aren't available any more so I used a tube 'Contacta' from Revell.

Here is a picture from the real thing, a factory modell of 206 from the eartly 60s that is from one of the FAM members (Hardy with the username Plasticol).
