Hello Martin,

I enjoyed your tutorial very much, as usual.

I completely agree with your logic of painting your own figures from the Preiser white blanks :

I prefer to use vinyl paints because of the convenience of brush cleaning in water:

With a fine brush much detail can be done:

such as the brass buttons on railstaff uniforms :

All the Preiserlings below (except the VIP motorcycle escort policeman) have been hand painted onto the white Preiser blanks (drat pesky dust particles on photos!):

This reminds me of various items I have seen in news items where artists have used HO figures to make little vignette scenes around features in streets and tourist spots.

Nicely done. ThumpUp ThumpUp

I also have fun painting little people. I recently found I had a shortage of sitting people on the layout and found a cheap set of unpainted sitting people which I'm slowly working my way through. They now occupy most of the benches in my station and help to populate some of my coaches.

One of my other hobbies is painting 1:72 military figures, which is not very different from painting railway people!

While I really admire the skill that goes into painting eyebrows onto H0 scale Preisers, I think it is a form of madness up there with really neat under layout wiring! LOL

Hi Martin,

Thanks for another great video.

I liked the idea of how you used some powder to create contrast and dull the colours down. Nice work!

Save your self time, don't paint the railway staff, just believe you have a Southern layout, they are always on strike!

Martin, do you then 'fix' the powder that you added? Or just leave it on in the 'cracks'?

Hi!

Thank you very very much for all positive feedback on this video and all the posts of Preisers being painted! Smile
Great to see all the Preisers getting some colors!
Hey PJ! You must have a really steady hand. The detail in the paintjob is just stunning! Love Brass buttons?! WOW!

Danlake.. No I don´t fix the powder. I let it be as is..
