What has experience been withe the ESU locomotives class 66 or 77? Do these models contain the ESU LokSound V4.0 M4 decoder? If not, what model decoder is used.

The Class 66 or 77 should be included on any modern layout because of the attractive, unique running gear (trucks/bogies).

There is a V4 decoder with M4 inside. I don't know if it is a decoder like the ones sold separately or a special decoder, but I think it is just a regular V4 M4 decoder.

I somewhat like these locos with the long body and the low profile. I wrote years ago that I thought it might be a good choice for Märklin as it allows many different liveries for many European countries.
Now I have one from Mehano and one from ESU. ESU is nicer.
