In attempting to clean motor I must have been holding by revesing relay unit and now it is not working. I went to the Marklin old service page a tried adjustments to top piece and contact tabs. The lights come on and the telex relay work. At one point the motor was even engaged but only in reverse. I continued bending tabs at different points and fear I may have totally screwed it all up . Thought I I might post some pics and see if anybody has any ideas before I have to convert the unit to digital. Is the metal tab at top supposed to be touching at center and two sides. Also the three tabs that touch the relay shaft; are they all supposed to be adjusted and which one is fir the motor contact? The spring seems to have adequate tension. I know these units are complicated. Also could I just take out the relay unit and replace it with a standard non telex unit and have a train that works w/o the telex feature?
