I need to buy some spare rubber tyres and I'm confused with the code numbers. In the manuals some state the old code like 7154 and some the new code E220530.

Is there a table that shows the old and new codes so I know which tyres to order?

Regards
Greg

Hi, Greg,

E220530 would be 7153.

I think both numbers are correct, but the quantity in the bag varies. Just get the cheaper ones.

I'm not aware of a look-up table. A search for "E220530" found many hits with 7153.
Regards
Tom

There are at least six tyre versions - but three tyre sizes cover the majority of older rolling stock.

Thanks Tom and Dominator for your replies.

The ebay information is slightly out of date as the codes are the old type and they only list 4 sizes. From the manuals that I have for the locos, here is the list of the codes:-

E220530
E656500
E656520
E656510
E222793

I think the only way I can solve this problem is to make Marklin happy and buy all 5 types. Great marketing ploy Cursing Cursing Cursing

Without warranty:
7151
E220510 = 7154
E220520 = 7152
E220530 = 7153
E656500 TGV, Glas Train, etc.
E656520 BR 01
E656510 E 40 => 7153?
E222793 V 100 => 7154?
E225024 BR 05

I found E656510 for a E 40/140 - older models used 7153.
I found E222793 for a V 100 - older models used 7154.
I don't know if 7153 can be used if the list shows E656510. I'd give it a try.

I have 7151 through 7154 in stock. Maybe I should stock some of the large tyres for steamers, too.

Still confused how many different and incompatible tyre sizes there really are.
Regards
Tom
