Hello all

I have purchased the Hohenstaufen IC set and I was wondering why there is no restaurant coach in this particular consist. I was under the impression that all InterCity runs almost always had a restaurant coach between the 1st and 2nd class coaches. The Hohenstaufen train ran from Munich to Hamburg, which should qualify for having some sort of restaurant coach.

I believe I have seen pictures of the train that clearly shows a restaurant coach some where after the 1st class coaches.

Does anybody know if there is a particular prototypical reason here? I was looking into adding a WRmh 132 (Märklin 43871) to my consist.

Hi,

Marklin's website does mention that the 1st class cars were separated from the 2nd class ones by a restaurant car:

Hi
Yes, you are correct, typical composition was 6xBm Bpm Bpmb 2xBvm WRmz Avm Apm Avm, according to this great post at Stummis Forum stummiforum.de/viewtopic.php?t=58914

For additional information, please see Mike's helpful links at marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t15012 or search the forum for "Zugbildung"
