I am trying to purchase 1 or 2 of these.
Since it's a Swiss item, what Swiss retailers may have them in inventory.
I read there will only be 999 produced.

Thanks for assistance,

Robert

Heard from Michael Roder at Bahnorama & purchasing 2 box cars. He is sending me an invoice minus the VAT plus 20 Fr shipping.
Now looking for the 2 Lok set.

Robert and Forum members,

From my previous posts I mentioned that I ordered 2 of the MÄRKLIN 4735.051 HBILS SBB CARGO "GOTTHARD" EXCLUSIVE SPECIAL EDITION which is for Switzerland only. Limited to 1000

As someone from North America collecting Marklin model trains I must say that we live in a connected world! For instance I placed my order May 13, 2016 by sending an email to Roundhouse in Switzerland. I received a response in a few hours, then sent billing and payment information on the next email and received the items a week later. A fantastic buying experience!

So I asked myself, what did these cost me?

Marklin 4735.051 39.99 EACH Swiss Franc (53.23CDN)

MasterCards with the details for my order of 2 Marklin 4735.051

95.90 Swiss Franc

Exchange 1.364

$130.88 Canadian dollars.

$65.44 Each all costs included.

Which is about $30.00 more than the MARKLIN HO 48025 SBB Sliding Wall Boxcar
Which sells for $34.95 CDN.

Was it worth it? Love Love Love Michel

I received the 2 box cars in today's mail from Michael Roder at Bahnorama.
They were 36.00 CHF plus priority registered post which came to 108.00 CHF. It was mailed last Saturday 25 June & only took a week.
Packaging was perfect, invoice in separate envelope with very nice 3 part stamp of GOTTARDO 2016.
I highly recommend this retailer. I certainly will purchase from him again.

I bought the stamps and postcards at the swiss post site. They shipped them to the US at no cost.

I also got a booklet that is quite interesting. I can dig out more details if folks are interested.

Cheers!

There is a booklet that can be downloaded from the web site. I'll have to go look for the link during the week.

Possibly you mean this one here ( https://www.postshop.ch/...ottardo-2016-A097835?P=1 ), but it costs CHF 19.-- and can't be downloaded.

The stamp itself is shown here: https://www.postshop.ch/...ottardo-2016-A097150?P=1

No it was on the gottardo2016 website. I think it is a pdf of the booklet handed out to the guests at the opening.

Those among you who collected this Gottardo freight van might also be interested in the second variety:
http://www.roundhouse.ch...d-Neuheiten.htm#4735.052

1,000 pieces produced and limited to the Swiss market. Recommended dealers who ship abroad are Roundhouse at Zurich and Bahnorama at Berne.
