My updated CS2 now offers 4 choices when choosing which decoders to use, can someone define old multifunction, new multifunction, old inst., and new inst. decoders. I have 74460 and 74461 both are fitted with 10 dip switches, any help would be appreciated.

This choice affects only the DIP switch settings that are displayed, it has no effect on the function.

74460 is the old inst., 74461 is the new inst.
Similarly 6083 and 60830 are old multifunction and the newer ones (m83 instead of k83) are new multifunction.
