Hi

Has the Märklin BR 17 steam locomotive ever been produced for the 2-track system, in the form of Hamo or Trix?

Yes, an incomplete list of Trix versions can be found here:

The BR 17 is not a typical Märklin loco - I suspect it's rather Trix design than Märklin design.

And Trix BR 17 have Faulhaber motor.
