Why did they choose Rugen for a resort? I would think Lake Konstanz would be better.

Far be it from me to drift off into the weeds...LOL LOL

but for an "Island Resort"...Tahiti...Bali...Love

Howsomever...

I have read that Rügen as a resort (as such) dates back to the early 1800s...go figure...Blink and had a sort of "multiple Personality" during the East-West situation, so any-who-way, it really was just a random find that jogged my memory of the Hotel/Volksbank Faller Items...Cool

Oh, I agree Jimmy. Anyplace closer to the equator. I thought Sylt was more popular.

For Faller B-217 / 109217

V 200 035 from the Hamm (Westf) P depot runs with an express train on the Right Rhine line through Kaub. A new Shell gas station is currently being built on Rheinuferstraße (B 42). This station is now obsolete; a snack bar has found its home in the building. (1958) Photo: Reinhold Palm

Love Cool

p. s. also marketed by Atlas as 740-149 and 740-200 (even with "Pflegedienst" marking for US market)

p. p. s. here is a link to what the Shell station in Kaub is now

That is mighty expensive for a very small building.
Under the current circumstances I will most certainly pass on it.

I got this from LIppe for £29 as it came VAT free to the UK. However I did not think this was a great kit and there are better filling stations out there.
I have built hundreds of Faller kits which are great and this is one of very few that I did not quite like on the layout.
Everything these days is expensive but with Faller you get good quality and hours of fun building.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.
