Hi all,

Ok, so if I bought a Hamo Loco and wanted to convert it to run on an analog layout, what parts would I require.

Thanks.

Ian.

At least a field coil and a revers relay.
thats what comes in to mind with the given information.
Philip.

Let's keep it simple.

I think I'd rather install a decoder instead of the MRU and keep the field magnet. Drives better, can be used analogue and digital - and could even be cheaper.

What you'll need beside the decoder is a centre rail pickup ...

Hi Philip/Tom,

Thanks for the info, so I could use the slider from the 3 rail model and what kind/type of decoder would I use.

This would allow me to reverse the Loco as normal on an analog layout??

As you might have guessed, I've never converted an analog Loco to digital or a 2 rail Loco to analog operation, so please keep you're answers simple....I'll find it much easier that way....Smile

Thanks.

Ian.
