Hi . I am interested in some of the marklin catalogue like marklin signal manual, marklin catenary user manual, Their track layout books and many more. Can someone please suggest me a site where i can download the pdf version. As postage cost to india is crazy so buying hard copies is out of the question. I would also like to download the latest product catalogue. as the one that i have is marklin product catalogue 2003/2004.

Thanks

Khirad

If you have an iPad, iPod or iPhone. Marklin has a catalogue application.. It has:
- New items 2012
- Product programme 2011/2012
- Product programme 2010/2011
- Product programme 2009/2010
- My world catalogue 2012

See http://www.maerklin.de/mobile-catalog/ for more information.

The catalogues are free for Insider members, but they are only about $1 or so from memory if you are not a member..

Of course, there is the normal online catalogue at http://www.maerklin.com/...arch/product_search.html

If I remember properly the old version of the signal manual is also available for download in the marklin.com website. I don't think there is an official catenary manual but I could be wrong.

Hello,

Here is the ("old" analog) signal manual:

www.marklin.com/tech/SignalManual.pdf

If clicking the link does not work, copy and past the URL.

You are wrong! The catenary book (covering the current catenary) is Marklin 03902 - English version. There are several other language versions as well.

There was also a small 4 page leaflet that described the older catenary.

As to Kihrad's question, there are some catalogs, manuals and older trackplan books available for download at the following site.

http://www.lctm.info/Biblioteca/index.htm

However, as to all the things you request, many of the new books are copyrighted, so you won't find anywhere where you can download the current trackplan books, etc.

That's what happens when you don't need something -like that red gadget to calculate the spacing of the poles- the brain ignores it completely. Altough in the back of my mind there was the idea I may have seen something somewhere.Blushing

Every book must be assumed "copyrighted" unless it is explicitly given to the public domain.
Copyright is valid for 75 years after the death of the author - so even stuff written 150 years ago may still be copyrighted.

National laws vary. But no serious German webmaster will host scans of Märklin catalogues or books (some who did got into trouble). In countries far away from Germany, the risk will be much smaller (if any).
Regards
Tom

Marklin has never offered the catalog in a downloadable pdf version.

But if you have an Android device you can still download the Marklin app that is mentioned in catalogs. I don't know if they keep the older items in the app but that will give you access.

Alternatively on the Marklin web page you can select under "katalog" just which items you want to search.
