Hi Ian,

I must apologize again for not being there. I had arrangements made already to crew at Aberdour regatta on Saturday. However by the time of the next one, all the summer distractions should be past.

Yes, a meeting this Saturday, I've been buying a few analog Loco's, (late 50's V200's) so could give them a run.

Then there's my new 1935 to 1939 "16 sleeper" track" to have a look at, and I'm running My Insider BR39 and wagon Set.

And then........Smile

Ian,

I hope you have room for two more (Brenden and I).......................we hope to be with you around 11am.

In keeping with your theme of Golden Oldies I am bringing a box of '50's and '60's locos to run (which includes two V200) as well as an old railcar. I will also bring my new digital croc, and the Kof and the Blue Enzian carriage set. Just in case we get bored.

See you tomorrow.

Ian,

Yes, it was a choice of cutting the three foot grass at the old house or coming up to Scotland to play with lots of lovely Marklin......................hard choice I have to say.

I thought you would be up nice and early polishing those Marklin locos.

Just getting into the car, see you soon !!!!

Hi Ian,

The sun is indeed shining from a beautiful blue sky. Enjoy your day of train running and my regards to everyone else there. I am afraid my train watching today will be of a distant view of Scotrail DMUs running along the shore between Aberdour and Burntisland. At least it will be a good day for sailing.

Thanks Ian, I have to say that the journey back was slightly more eventful than coming up, as I got an opportunity to view a Strathclyde police car up close and personal........got nicked for doing 88mph. I would not have minded but I was quite literally at that point the only car on the road and so there was nowhere to hide.....Angry Angry Angry

Whilst in the backseat I was passed by Mike who was only doing 60mph as he was running in the new car..............................and so the moral of the tale is that it does not pay to drive too fast. LOL LOL LOL

Anyway Brenden is delighted to have tired out the dogs, I have to be honest he did not do much on Sunday either............

Thanks once again for a great day,

All the best

Ian,

That's life, I am not going to moan about it, after all I was speeding so take the medicine and get on with it.

Yes on the points and fine, luckily I only have 3 points at present. To be honest they seemed more concerned that I pay the fine rather than the points.

hi Ian
sounds like you had a good time and everything has had smaller beginings
bit hard about the cops but these things happen
well we have been busy not i slipped a disc in the back and ended up stuck in my bed for two days unable to get out
and they finally had to call an ambulance and take me into hospital gave me 1/2 cup of morphine
got me to my feet and then tapped my back into shape, i was out from the middle down Blink Blink Blink Blink
and it happend to be the same day the Marklin shipment arrived so Dion and his wife had to do the job
which he enjoyed as he thinks its christmas !!!!BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin as i normally do it
but my back is better than its been for ages , and hospital guy said they have had a lot of folks in with backs
out of wack and they think the earthquakes and aftershocks have done it, as the motion is from below and people
hold themselves when the quakes come so fun all around
well i guess you must be just about to start building the new layout frame work which will be great
we have onother club night next friday 24th and we had 20 guys at last months and one guy donated two mobile station 2
so the club has controllers when they put their modules together, its really taken off these 1200 x 600 units and when you get 8 together
you can has some great long trains well must away as th Nz v Aust rugby match come up soon we got 6 gold at the london
so they want to make it 7 against the aust so we shall see hahaha
regards and happy rerailments

Hi bryan,

Thanks for keeping in touch. ThumpUp

You had 20 guys at a club meeting, not much chance of that here, don't think there's 20 members in the UK.....maybe just. Smile

There's still a bit to do before starting the new framework, but it will be started before Xmas.

Will let you know how our next club meeting goes.

Hi Glenn, sadly, my wife has terrible fear of boats even though she was born and raised on the island of Mombasa of the coast of Kenya. Instead, we went back to the same hotel as we did last year and again it was fabulous. It was the Montana Pine Resort and is up in the mountains above Olu Deniz. the scenery is stunning. We can't wait to go again. See you and Brenden on the 29 September, Alan
