Hi!

More serious: Delta is a limited "hobby" version of Märklin Digital, but uses the same protocol, known as MM or Märklin Motorola.
DCC is a different protocol, mostly used in the two-rail world.
mfx is a third protocol - Märklin's latest attempt to control the market with a proprietary protocol.

AC and DC are currents used for analogue operation. AC is mostly used for three-rail, DC mostly for two-rail.

With digital operation you can control several locos on the same track independently.

Digital generally refers to a system using digital signalling to the locos and to other equipment. The digital signal is sent as polarity changes on the supply. Different digital track protocols (MM, DCC, mfx etc) have different codings of the signal, but the general electrical principle with polarity changes on the supply is the same. It is therefore possible for different digital protocols to coexist on the same track.

Märklin Digital is Märklin's older system, using the MM track protocol.

Delta is, as Tom writes, a budget version of Märklin Digital, and compatible with it.
