I have a 83460 SBB forsale and I keep getting asked what the delta address is. I opened it up and nothing tells me it is delta or digital. Does anyone else have one and maybe I am missing something? (I find it easy to miss things-- per my wife)

I believe the "4" in the 3460 part of the number denotes Delta. The dip switch should also only have 4 toggles instead of 8.

Its a 83460.. 8 normally signifies a HAMO model, but this is in the Koll's special catalogue - so I a not sure... It doesn't say Digital or Delta either.. Does it have a slider?Confused It came out in 1994..

I think that the 4 in this case is a part of 460 which is the real world number of this series of loco... This is a Swiss 460 class..

Did you try it with analog ? Wink
There were some series not Delta, not digital but with electronic module for reverse + some electronics to adjust maximum speed ( + may be also time delay but i'm not sure)
There were many wires inside....Cursing Do you see some kind of screw like a micro-potentiometer somewhere ?

Marklin #83460 is analog AC. Not a Delta or Digital, therefore it does not have address.
The list of Marklin's Re460 can be seen in this website:

Tiono is right: 83460 is good old analogue - no Delta, no Digital in this one.

This exciting model ("Joggeli") was introduced in the Märklin Export program 1994/1995 (see news catalog pg. 2) and was originally delivered with electronic reversing relay; opposite to the Re460 #83463 "AGFA FILM" which came out with a DELTA decoder.

For (re-)sale of used models it is always mandatory to specify whether it is still in its original factory delivered state or whether it was modified (my model for example is today equipped with HLA, mfx sound and LED headlights).

Ralph, if you need any further information about this model or even pictures, just let me know.

Thanks for the input. In the listing it states Analog and based on my knowledge and your input analog is what it is.
